They’ve got it down to a tee!

Keen golfers played 72 holes in one day and raised £1,500 for Lindsey Lodge Hospice.

The Kynaston family Philip, Martyn and David, as well as close friend Dez Smith, walked 25 miles round the Grange Park Golf Centre course and started playing as the sun rose at 4.15am!

The last minute fundraiser was to thank the fantastic care the hospice on Burringham Road, in Scunthorpe, gave to Linda Eaton who was Philip’s partner’s mother.

Philip said: “The hospice has been part of my life recently and the care they gave to Linda was amazing.  We wanted to do something fun and raise funds for a local, worthy cause at the same time.”

Martyn added: “We play regularly here at Grange Park Golf Centre and we’ve never done a challenge like this before so it’s been a good laugh.

“We had to start early in the morning to get a full day of golf and finished at around 7pm.  The course is quite challenging with long holes – we’ll definitely be aching from it!”
