Designer labels on catwalk for hospice

An array of designer labels will be showcased at a fashion show extravaganza in aid of Lindsey Lodge Hospice.

A “Blast of Fashion” is a musical catwalk featuring designer labels such as Ted Baker, Karen Millen, Oasis, Planet and French Connection suitable for occasions such as a day at the races, going on cruises and holidays.  Also in the spotlight will be new bridal wear, teen clothing and vintage wear, all at very reasonable prices.

Organiser, Kaye Metcalf from All Dressed Up Lindsey Lodge’s charity shop said: “We are super excited about this energetic, glittery event aimed at ladies looking for the perfect outfit this summer, whether that might be for a night out or a holiday.

“It won’t just be a fashion show but it will be a production where people will be able to enjoy a well-staged event with lots of exciting surprises to come!”

Kaye hopes to raise over £2,000 from the fashion show which will be held on Friday, 22nd July at The Wortley House Hotel. All proceeds will go towards the hospice on Burringham Road in Scunthorpe which cares for local people with life-limiting illnesses and their families.

“The start of the show will litereally be a ‘blast’ of energy,” added Kaye. “The local dance group Jopsox will be bursting on stage with a dazzling opening performance as well as modelling clothing too.”

On the night people will be able to peruse around fashion-orientated stalls as well as purchase a  selection of hand-picked designer clothing.

Kaye said that it’s thanks to all the generous donations from the public which has enabled the show to take place.

She explained: “We are extremely grateful for all the donations we receive and it’s unbelievable some of the designer goods we get donated, such as Gucci handbags and Karen Millen dresses which are worth a lot of money.  Our designer items are all available at All Dressed Up Lindsey Lodge Hospice charity shop in The Parishes at Scunthorpe.”

A Blast of Fashion takes place on Friday, 22nd July at the Wortley House Hotel from 7pm to 10pm.

  • Tickets are only £5 and all proceeds go towards the hospice.  Tickets are available at All Dressed Up shop, by calling 01724 854824 or online at under the events section.
